Job description

We currently use a hybrid work from home/in-office work model and offer flexible scheduling. Our program uses an innovative evidence-based treatment model to reduce violence in families.

Candidates will:

  • Hold a Master’s Degree in a clinical or counseling field (those anticipating graduation by end of 2023 may apply)
  • Be license eligible in CT
  • Understand issues related to trauma, child development, and family violence
  • Have own car and required auto insurance coverage
  • Direct clinical service experience preferred (including internships)

About this role:

  • Provide trauma-informed clinical care according to program model
  • Meet with clients in their homes, communities, or our office
  • Work with caregivers who have either received or used abusive behaviors
  • Perform full family assessment, including children, to create individualized treatment plans
  • Provide clinical curriculum appropriate to client needs (either Fathers for Change or Mothers and More) which includes CBT-based interventions for emotion regulation, reflective functioning work, and psychoeducation
  • Conduct occasional dyadic therapy sessions including parent-child dyads and caregiver dyads
  • Provide individual counseling, psychoeducation, and referrals as needed
  • Caseload of up to ten families per clinician
  • Maintain flexible work hours to accommodate family needs, including occasional evenings as needed (extra hours will be flexed to maintain 35 hour work weeks)
  • Collaborate with team members and DCF staff assigned to client families
  • Weekly 1:1 supervision with program director (LCSW)
  • Trainings, CEU opportunities, and professional development provided
